Myself and chris burkett are back on the show scene again this year with the duo . It really has been a fantastic time flying with chris and being part off the extra team. We have displayed at two shows so far one being at pirton which was a lovely summer fair with a full size display and the next was at RAF Benson for there families day airshow. The friday before pirton show myself and andy nicholls drove to gransden to meet chris for  some pre show breifing and then some practice flying. Pirton posed a new dimension for us as chris could not land which meant i had to take off and formate with chris. We spoke about different scenarios on how we would approach this and the best way was chris flying past along side my take off area on side slip and then i took off to formate straight away. In practice this worked perfect , the same on the day at pirton, perfect timing meant we were side by side for the first manouvere and the rest just flowed perfectly. Superb show and the guys at pirton made us feel very welcome. Many thanks.

The next show was at RAF benson which for me was a great honor to be able to display. Myself and andy nicholls arrived at the base around 9.45 and chris was already there. We were directed to 28ac squadrons outpost and from the start this was a great atmosphere and the RAF personnel sure did make us feel welcome. Pilots breifing was at 11.30 and our flight time was 15.10. Time to relax and watch the great show and get preped for our display. The guys at benson cut me a 150 meter runway so i could take off along side chris and i must say it was perfect. The show went very well and the whole day was such an amazing event, many thanks to Raf benson for all your hospitality.

Team extra will be at gransden next then shoreham airshow, southern airshow and oldwarden. Its great to be part off this unique worlds first duo off this type and the graet places we get to visit and fly.
